It’s not just at this time of year, but it seems that many people are filled with depression and hurt more at this time of the year than any other time. But most all of us face trials and struggles throughout our year. We all face discouragement sometime or another, and this morning I want to give you some encouragement to not quit, do not give in to what is going on in your mind and heart today: DON’T QUIT: When things go wrong and they sometimes will. When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill. When the funds are low, and debts are high. And you want to smile, but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit, rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with it’s twists and turns, as everyone of us sometimes learns. And many a failure turns about, when he might of won if he would of stuck it out; don’t give up though the pace seems slow-you may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than, it seems to a faint and faltering man, often the struggler has given up, when he might have captured the victor’s cup, and he learned to late when the night slipped down, how close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out-the silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and you can never tell how close you are, it may be nearer when it seems so far, so stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit, it’s when things seem worst that you MUST NOT QUIT! (Author Unknown) It’s not time to give up and quit, it’s time to pray and ask God for vision and wisdom of what to do next in your fight for faith and life on this earth. He knows who you are, and he knows what you are going through.
