Ideas for a Healthy Marriage Pt. 2

Continuing to honor the month of love, I want to share with you some ideas on how to help make and keep your marriage healthy. Many years ago, Jayme and I found these ideas and we’ve been living them out ever since. We do everyone of these or have done them and we want you to know will make a huge difference to your marriage. (Please share these with friends that are married, share our blog site: advisefromyourunclerobin.com or listen to our podcast: The Preacher Pod on Apple Podcast or Spotify.) Here we go, we got up to #12 yesterday:

13. Talk about your dreams with each other.

14. Send a card for no reason.

15. Do what the other wants before he or she asks.

16. Listen! (We think that we are listening, but can you repeat back to your spouse what they have just told you to make sure you have really heard what they are saying.)

17. Encourage. (You can do this enough, and yet most of us don’t do it at all.)

18. Do it his or her way.

19. Know his or her needs. (You are going to have to communicate and listen to get this down.)

20. Fix the other person’s breakfast.

21. Compliment them 3 times a day.

22. Call them or text them during the day. Just to check in on how they are doing. How is their day going?

23. Slow down. We live, especially as family in a too fast of a pace.

24. Hold hands. This is very important and needful.

There is today’s ideas, you can get started today a new habit of loving your spouse.
