There are many days when I feel like I am walking through a firestorm, stuck in a storm that doesn’t seem like it’s going to ever end or drowning in the ocean. God has told us that when we feel like we are in the storm, we won’t get burned by the fire, or overwhelmed by the storm or drown in the ocean. (Isaiah 43:1-4) As we pray today, once again ask that God remind us, show us that all fires burn out, storms pass and you will find the shore. In the midst of all of this, God promises us that He will always be with us in the storms, the fire, etc. Before we can see God move in our lives, we must remember that behind the biggest cloud, the wildest storm and the darkest day is a blue sky. For us to overcome, we must fix our focus on God and what God is teaching us, leading us into the storms and fires we are facing today. The storm will come to an end, the thing that we need to do is HOLD ON! Hold on to God!
